Recording

Having been the in-house engineer at Otterhead studios for a number of years, I have picked up a wealth of knowledge from different passing engineers and producers as well as being the main engineer on the rest of the sessions.

The Recording Process

A typical recording session follows a simple workflow:

  1. Pre-session planning – discussing your project and goals.

  2. Setup and sound checking – ensuring everything is ready to capture the best sound possible.

  3. Tracking – recording performances in a comfortable and creative environment.

  4. Editing and preparation – preparing the recordings for mixing.

The aim is always to capture performances that feel natural and energetic, while maintaining high technical standards.

Let’s Work Together!
